Canungra Artist Profile – Giselle
Giselle’s background combines art, drawing, painting, creating, photography, silver jewellery, writing, travelling, interior design, and living a lifestyle representing art.
After completing her Interior Design and Art studies, she worked in private and corporate design throughout Germany. Her design skill expanded into painting and has evolved ever since.
Creating works of art now in her Gold Coast Hinterland, Canungra Art Studio, she shares her passion for creativity through her individual-styled art classes.
A year of intensive painting resulted in a major successful solo exhibition in 1993 at Bruce Watling Galleries, with over 50 large watercolour paintings.
Many Gold Coast Art Galleries have represented Giselle, and she has exhibited her work at art shows and often is invited to judge art competitions.
Most of Giselle’s work sells from her private art studio and gallery, which is open by appointment.
Some of Giselle’s present work is stylistically far removed from her watercolours, which demonstrates her liking for a variety of styles and mediums and draws from a wide range of individual experiences. Many of her paintings include items of a personal nature within the painting.
Her acrylic paintings represent a stylish, decadent, realistic expression of the human figure. Each painting has meanings close to her heart, combining the past, present and future, creating feelings of surrealism and reality and evoking curiosity about what the paintings are really all about.
Giselle has published many art articles and is represented by magazines such as the Artist’ Palette and Australian Artists.
Giselle’s art and studio have been profiled a couple of times by channel 7, “The Great South East”, and various other television shows.
